CONGRATS TO THE CLASS OF 2021
This Blog post is not written by me, but by the graduate herself (who's name is also Sarah)
Hi, my name is Sarah. I am a graduate of the Norwich Free Academy class of 2021 (finally!).
Throughout high school, I made some lifelong friends, learned valuable lessons from the teachers, and experienced true diversity.
Some of the things I’m more than happy to leave behind are the pop quizzes, waking up early and of high school, and of course, those class presentations. However, my fondest memories mostly come from my senior year. Even though I had to do this year remotely, it was the most memorable. My family was there to cheer me on and rally behind me when things got hard, and motivated me to keep going. Senior year ended with the most fantastic prom I could have ever imagined. I danced the night away in front of the fountain in the courtyard of NFA. I’m excited to move on from taking basic classes like English, Math, and Science and really get to learn about things I’m passionate about, like cooking and business. Next year, I’ll be going to Three Rivers for business entrepreneurship and principles of marketing. Later, I’ll further my education by going to culinary school. Finally, I hope to open a restaurant or bakery one day.
I had the opportunity to have my high school graduation photos taken with Sara, which was terrific. It was one of my first times getting professional photos taken, and Sara made me feel like a celebrity. I had so much fun and couldn’t stop laughing. I’m usually really shy, but I felt so comfortable with her. Thank you so much, Sara!
